Good Friday

I came across this website that I really like for children

 Check it Out: Kidz World

Just a sneak about what it is about.....

Good Friday may once have been known as God Friday.
Good Friday
Good Friday is a Christian holiday that observes the anniversary of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Christ was the Son of God who came to earth to die and take away people's sins. The Bible says that he arose from the dead three days later, on Easter Sunday, and ascended to heaven. This is pretty much the fundamental story of Christianity. Christians started observing Good Friday in the fourth century AD.

It is my desire to share the Good news to all......

A little late St. Patrick Day post.

This past weekend I was busy enjoying my family and didn't post anything about St. Patty's Day!
Saturday I had gotten online and found from Arby's buy one get one free Reuben. I had been wanting to try but just hadn't yet and thought I'd pick one up for Dave and I with a Mint Swirl Shake as well.
It was a winner. We both loved it!

Loving my Spring wreath

I found this cute wooden chick pair with umbrella at Goodwill on their 1/2 price Saturday this month for ONLY a $1.00. I just knew it would look darling on a wreath! Whatcha think......Do you like? When you create something it is just fun to look at it over and over. Well, that is what I'm doing today and loving how the sun is streaming thru it.

Plus, it will be April in just a few days and thought it would just be.....
 Perfect
 for April Showers!

Last Ounce of Courage trailer...

Good movie to watch!

Nothing like seafood to make life better....

Last evening hubby got home fairly late from work, but I'd gotten some shrimp ready to slap on the grill for when he walked thru that door.  We do love seafood. I had also baked some potatoes and made a broccoli casserole which is one of his favorites.

Spray with EVOO, Kosher Salt & Peppercorn, Garlic, Paprika, & Parsley. Grill few minutes per side.

Chopped Broccoli and steamed/drained, salt, Mayo, shredded Colby cheese, Panko, a few slices of butter on top and bake.  Baked potato~ washed and cut in slices but not all the way thru (making it look sorta like a fan) sprayed with EVOO, Kosher Salt, Peppercorn, Garlic, & Parsley and baked in foil until tender. Then when done topped with a little Colby Cheese shredded, a dollop of Sour Cream,  and fresh chives!
We enjoyed eating and watching a movie!

A MUST see....movie!

Last evening, my hubby and I sat down together and watch this dvd of the life of Dr. Ben Carson.  What a man that Jesus has sure used for good! Many of you I am sure saw him on the news when he was the guest speaker at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC just a few weeks back. I was so impressed with what I heard that day that I had wanted to know more about this man. I urge you to watch this movie. Our local library has it and it has been on hold for some time..... so that tells me there are so many more that have been impressed with him as well.

He Looked Beyond My Fault

I'll warn you......... those of you that want to hear this video of me playing the piano may want to turn the volume down. Seemed quite blasting to me, but this song has been running thru my mind today and I felt pressed to share. I by no means am that great of a piano player, but I do love to spend time at playing hymns.  I hope the song speaks to you this evening. It is one of Dottie Rambo songs and the music is adapted from Londonderry Aire.

                                                   He Looked Beyond My Fault

Amazing grace shall always be my song of praise. For it was grace that bought my liberty. I do not know just why He came to love me so; He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary to view the cross where Jesus died for me. How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul. He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

                                                                                               Blessings to all~ Jen

Update on Jet

Well, I had bought Jet this huge bone so he would not be chewing on everything else in our backyard. This photo is over a month old, but I somehow forgot to post about our growing big boy. So much bigger even now! This weekend is suppose to be nice and warm, so I'll try to get a good picture of him sometime this weekend. Happy Friday Everyone!

Ball Mason Shakers.

When I was growing up in Oklahoma we had an older saint that attended the church where my dad was the pastor. I can remember sweet old Sister Henson inviting my family over for a big spread on Sundays or holidays when we could not get back to Tennessee to see our own family. I remember as a little girl thinking WHY is she giving me these Salt & Pepper Shakers. Now I am so glad she did. I use them all the time, but I especially love them during the Spring. I just think they look springy. Just thinking about memories today and wanted to share.

A few moments here and there....

.....I've been spring cleaning and diving into decorating for Easter and Spring. Easter will be here so quick and it seems it takes me just about that long to get my house fixed the way I want and then have to start over with something else. I'm enjoying the cheerfulness of it. Bunnies and chicks representing Life which speaks to me as New Life because of my Savior's death and resurrection for anyone........even little ole me.

To all my Blogging friends.... I've enjoyed seeing what you've done and it seems to gets me thinking about what I can do within my budget. Thankful for all of you and the friendship I have thru blogging. I truly hope each of you have a Blessed Easter.

This may be to many photo's but that is something I've been really enjoying getting into. I by no means know a lot about it, but I'm trying to learn and do from trial and error. So please be patience with me as I learn on all you gals.

This fellow is one of my favorites because it was my grandmother's.
This cute little pillow I have had for a long time, but I always love it in my rocker.

It's my Spring Cloche

Last evening I went to the local Dollar Tree and pick up a few birds, moss, and Easter eggs.  I have been seeing on several blogs this idea and thought it was adorable.

Liz on Savvy Seasons has an excellent video.....http://www.savvyseasons.com/

Here is a snapshot of mine. Of course, I've done mine a little different since I didn't have the spray paint (which I may end up doing that). I was just a little impatience to see how it would look before I ran out to find the paint. I love especially since it was only a few bucks.

I love creating something that will not break the bank!
I hope you like and please check out Liz's blog.
I always love to see what she is doing. She has great ideas.
Love always,   Jen

Cravings.....

Well, this is certainly not anything big but just wanted to post one of my cravings the last few days....
