Cherishing the memories of a love one.

I haven't posted in awhile, and I need to get the blog caught up but....today, I am taking a moment for someone in my life that has shape and encouraged me as long as I can remember.

It is not fun when those we love are no longer in their human body with us. Even though, we know they are so much better off than we are right now. It is still so difficult for me, and I always want to grieve alone and look back at the photo's I've taken. Usually there are way to many to share, but I tend to pick out the ones that are sentimental to me. I love taking pictures and capturing people that are dear to me.
This is the case with my Uncle Ed!
I first remember when he and the rest of the family would travel all the way to Oklahoma to visit. He and my Aunt Nina would get out and walk with my brother and I down to the little neighborhood park. Uncle Ed would treat us to ride go carts. I remember him as a strong, tall man that had a voice of command, but I also remember how he would encourage and show love. He would expect a hug, and boy would it be a big, strong, hard one at that! The last several years, he has grown weak and frail, and it has been hard for this girl to see. The process of life is hard, but relevant to us all that it changes all the time. I just selfishly wish, I could have the strong, tight feeling of his hugs and to see him strong and sitting together with us with that smile that was one that was all his own. I'm gonna miss YOU Uncle Ed! Definitely, you have made a lasting stamp on my life, and as I sit here in front of my computer with tears in my eyes and hardly able to type and figure out how to punctuate all this ... It is the way for me to pay tribute to a Strong Loving UNCLE of mine.

Oh, the memories of such fun at Uncle Ed and Aunt Nina's house cooking out. I can smell it and hear the sounds of all gather together.

 I love you Uncle Ed
