Just an update on that Precious Boys smile

Yesterday, yep that other front tooth came out. What a cutie that smile is, don't you agree?

Hubs and I also enjoyed our anniversary date night dining at Red Lobster, then stopping at the Brand New Chick-fil-A a few miles down the road for...... a sweet treat.

And of course, being that we were close to Kroger we picked up a few items there. (The life of an "old married couple") lol and the hubs agreed to let me go into Dollar Tree to see if there was anything crafty to come up with. Just found some green moss for some Easter/Spring decorating. I am itchy to get started but right now trying to finish up some painting that we have been up to in the Guest Bath.  Just never enough time between schooling, feeding, laundry and trying my hardest to keep this ole house clean with 2 boys living under this roof. lol

13 Years ago today we became Man & Wife....

Today my hubby and I celebrate 13 years together. Humor me please as I share some thoughts and snapshots of our day back on February 26th, 2000. I was 22 and the hubs was 26. We meet on a blind date at a steakhouse in Selma, Alabama. I was attending college and one of my friends was married to my husbands best friend. She had been mentioning that she wanted us to meet each other. I didn't agree at the time because I was dating a church boy that went to the same church denomination a few miles away that I went to. Well, my friend and I graduated and found jobs at the same hospital. Some time later I broke up with the guy that I had been dating. Karen, my friend and I always ate lunch together and one day she bought up David's name again. I thought why not! I worked in the medical records department as physician liaison, so me being the little investigator that I am... looked up my hubs chart. I said to myself well he can't be too bad he has not had much in his medical chart. So we meet in August of 98. I have to admit that first date was not good. I didn't like him at all! Maybe it was the nerves but I thought please let me just get HOME! Well, my grandmother feel in love with him before I did and I think her prayers must of worked because it wasn't long till we were inseparable. My poor parents were so sick of him coming over to the house. They liked him but thought tapping on my window after he got off late at nights was uncalled for and they were highly upset when he had come over and slept on the couch when it was W2K for fear of what was going to happen. lol My poor dad didn't know until that next morning needless to say I was in TROUBLE! Well let me go ahead and let you see a glimps into our wedding day......

It's a Precious SMILE....

Yesterday was the day that our Big 8 year old would lose a Tooth. This mama's heart is a little sad to know he is growing up so quickly, but all the while treasuring such a precious toothless grin.

So....now we are just a waiting till the other falls out. It's really wiggly too but he's not ready to let it go just yet.

Our 2013 Valentines Day

I woke up early that morning and spent sometime in thought and then took a few minutes capturing the sunrise. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. It was a fun day here at the house and then making taco's for supper and baking cupcakes for our special valentines treat.

Last evening my family sat down an watched Abel's Field. I had enter my name over at Book Thoughts http://kimberleyevans86.blogspot.com/  for a free DVD and received it just two days ago. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd recommend it to all.

Taking a Moment to think about LOVE....

February is here and like so many of you I have been decorating and crafting things that are a reflection of romance. I truly am a romantic. A few years ago I ran across a CD set of The Letters of Ronald Reagan to Nancy Reagan. I have been realizing just what it means to really take the time for the one you love. Life is so busy and things that really seem to need to be done are always on my mind but while listening to this CD set it has all became real just how quickly this life passes and I want to be known as a lady that loves her husband and family.
I want to give you a peek into what I've been listening to.........

I just love this thought and how true it is to realize how much people mean to us. Life is fragile. Friends during this month that is set on the calendar to remind us to show a little kindness and affection to the ones we love I hope I've encouraged you to do just that.
