The Hub's Favorite...Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Wanted to share one of our favorite desserts.

 It looks very "Valentines" and is fairly easy to make.

Valentines decorating has been the thing the past few days

Here is a little white bucket that I picked up at Goodwill several months ago.

 I've enjoyed decorating it for the different holidays.

For the LOVE month I decided I'd go to Dollar Tree and look for some moss and flowers. 

On Saturday I found the hearts at Goodwill for 39 cents. 

 A simple put together decoration piece that is just my style!

I'd saved a Valentines card that I'd received several years ago and thought I'd just hot glue doily pieces to it. A very simple project at no cost. I already had the paper doily's.

 

This past weekend we had some friends over for a get together and I made magic bars

 (recipe is on the All about Food tab) and just use a small heart cookie cutter.

Okay, so the past few days has been cold, rainy, sleeting and just plain yucky.  I am ready for some sun, warm sand under my toes, and hearing the rhythm of the sea. The thrill of watching the kids playing and making lasting memories of their childhood. Shopping and dining at all the quaint places that you've mapped out and planned for your stay. The days go quick and then all to quick your making the trek back home....all the while thinking of when your next visit will be. Am I making you long for it too?

Just a looky at....some of the food I fixed this past week.

 

& a little decorating

 Just a few things....gonna add something around the white candle in the clear glass. We are trying to decide how to paint a few thing in the coming weeks, hopefully. 

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions....hard to decide when there are so many way it could look. 

I'm hoping to keep my hubby motivated especially if I keep up cooking foods and desserts for him. Just when did he become one of those that expect dessert after every meal.

 Of course, it's not helping this gal with losing ANY weight. 

Today, I enjoyed cooking for my mama and daddy. Didn't get a chance to take a picture but sometimes it's good to just enjoy each other and not to have it all picture perfect but still enjoyed sitting around the table dining together. This evening it's been such a relaxing evening being with my two sweethearts as we watch movies, munch, and the young'un drawing and playing games all the while the cat hides under the furniture to get some protection from this crazy family.

Sorry people for the long post of pictures, but this is my journal to keep my memories. It's just so much easy this way then trying to hand write it all out. Blessing and make some memories with your family this week that will bring a smile and hug. I've gotten quite a few tonight and I'm thankful for the day.  Christian LOVE to all~ Jen Elaine

Just enjoying the day.

The new year has begun and we've been just taking the days easy and planning on how to budget to get some things done here at the house.  One day this week I open the door and grabbed my new camera and snap a picture of the deer. I am still trying to figure the camera out.

He is a sweet lively BIG boy!

And too many times eating these. Easy to do and to yummy to resist.

And loving this guy.

It the simple life that I want this year.  My Faith, My Love, My Child and all my Family and Friends.
